DEALING IN METH CHARGE: INVESTIGATION LEADS TO SEARCH WARRANT AND ARREST IN OTWELL

Robert A. Lamberson, 41, of Otwell, was arrested in the early morning hours of March 21, 2024, after an investigation led by Sgt. Jared Simmons resulted in a search warrant with a reported recovery and seizure of over twenty (20) grams of methamphetamine.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed in the Pike Circuit Court by Simmons, Deputies applied for a search warrant of the residence of Lamberson at 5101 North County Road 975 East in Otwell which was granted by Pike Circuit Court Judge Jeff Biesterveld just after 3am early Thursday morning. Simmons informed the Court that Deputies located three baggies of crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine with weights of 12.64, 4.11 and 4.14 grams respectively during a search of the master bedroom in Lamberson’s residence. Police also reported locating a Taurus 9 millimeter pistol at the residence.

After a finding of probable cause by Judge Biesterveld, Lamberson was charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine, amount over 10 grams, a level 2 felony and Possession of Methamphetamine, amount greater than 10 grams, which

is a level 3 felony if committed while in possession of a firearm. A level 2 felony is punishable by 10 to 30 years, and, a level 3 felony is punishable by 3 to 16 years.

POSSESSION OF METH: SEARCH WARRANT IN WINSLOW LEADS TO ARREST OF BRIAN WEDDING

The Pike County Sheriffs Department remained busy throughout the day on Thursday as another search warrant was sought and obtained for a Winslow residence suspected of being used for methamphetamine activities.

Sgt. Scott Arnold requested issuance of a search warrant for a residence at 1652 East Arthur Burns Road in Winslow, Indiana after completing an investigation Thursday afternoon. Arnold and Sheriffs Deputies searched the residence and found Brian D. Wedding, age 57, in the residence. According to an affidavit of probable cause filed in the Pike Circuit Court, officers recovered a smoking device with white residue from a kitchen drawer and a bag with crystal substance testing positive for methamphetamine weighing 1.6 grams with the baggie was recovered from a black safe in the residence.

After finding of probable cause by Judge Biesterveld, Brian D. Wedding was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a level 6 felony.
